History of Country Music

The origins of nation music can be identified in southern Appalachian with fiddle recordings created at the finish of 1910. It was not till the early 20s, on the other hand, that the sort of recorded nation music we hear currently came to be. Nation's 1st industrial recording was produced in 1922 by Eck Robertson on Victor Records. Vernon Dalhart was the initial national nation star in 1924 with the song "Wreck of the Old '97." But most historians point to 1927 when Victor Records signed Jimmie Rodgers, and the Carter Loved ones. These two are viewed as as the correct nation music originators.

Jimmie Rodgers

Jimmie Rodgers, identified as the "Father of Nation Music" was a national immediate accomplishment. He is credited with the 1st platinum promoting single, "Blue Yodel # 1", and his catalog of songs, all recorded amongst 1927 and 1933, have earned him the honor of one of the initially prominent voices in nation music. Rodgers died of complications of tuberculosis in 1933. He was inducted into the Nation Music Hall of Fame in 1961).

The Carter Family members

The Carter Household was the 1st renowned vocal group of nation music. The Household was composed of members AP Carter, his wife Sara Dougherty Carter, and sister Maybelle Addington Carter. The group flourished in the late 20s immediately after the release of their 1st collection of songs in 1927. The unique variants of the Carter Household continued to record and execute for decades. Two of their 1st hits, "Maintain on the Sunny Side" and "Wildwood Flower" are nonetheless well-known these days.

Western Swing

The Rise of Bob Wills and Western Swing from Texas and across the Midwest started in the late 1920s and reached its peak in the early 40s. Western Swing was led by horn sounds, upbeat jazz, large band sounds from New Orleans, Dixieland and blues influences. The drums had been introduced by the western swing movement, and the eclectic musical mix consists of saxophones, pianos, and an instrument known as Hawaiian steel guitar. Personalities consist of Bob Wills (the "King of Swing "), Light Crust Doughboys and Milton Brown (the "Father of Western Swing").

Bluegrass

Bill Monroe is recognized as the "Father of Bluegrass". Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys are credited with the initially version of bluegrass, a type of the old time hillbilly mountain music from its origins in Britain and West Africa. Bluegrass requires its name from the name Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys, which ultimately integrated future stars such as Lester Flatt (guitar) and Earl Scruggs (banjo) which are now Bluegrass legends. Flatt and Scruggs became a hit duo on their own in 1949. Bill Monroe was inducted into the Nation Music Hall of Fame in 1970 and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
